A British-Nigerian actress, Deborah Ayorinde, will feature in Lena Waithe’s horror series titled Them.

According to Deadline, the series will be sponsored by the amazing deal signed by the producer with Amazon.

It was also gathered that the British-Nigerian actress will play a lead role in the series with Ashley Thomas who was known from the Netflix series, Top Boy.

Ayorinde is popular for her appearance in Girls’ Trip, a 2017 box office sensation that featured some of Hollywood’s finest.

It should be noted that the actress has in recent past featured in movies like Marvel’s Like Cage and True Detectives.

Them horror series will narrate how a black family is confronted with supernatural forces beyond their control.

Commenting on the new series, Jennifer Salke, the head of Amazon studio, talked about Waithe’s ability to create excellent voices.

"Our upcoming series Them is the result of her rare ability to cultivate brilliant voices like Little Marvin and bring his wholly original and compelling vision to Amazon. We look forward to collaborating with Lena and her team for years to come,” Salke said.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Prime minister Boris Johnson appointed Nigerian Olukemi Olufunto Badenoch as children and families' minister, as part of his government reshuffle.

The 39-year-old Badenoch is a British Conservative politician and member of parliament for Saffron Walden.
